Outside the world of spread sheets, budgets and contact reports, I am a keen musician and writer. I have played bass guitar in a covers band for the past 25 years, and have also written online film reviews, event articles and short stories. I also very much enjoy films, cooking, and have a geeky side courtesy of my love of video games and graphic novels.
Many years ago, I had grand ideas of being a designer, but after seeing some startling creative when working for a global advertising agency, I realised I just couldn't cut the mustard. I did discover that I had an affinity for numbers, logical thinking and planning however. Yes, that is how rock n' roll I am.
I get asked how I can be both a project and account manager, with some people thinking it's not possible. Yes it is. Having worked for mostly small boutique agencies, you have to wear many hats, and that has been a massive advantage. You learn how to deliver what you are supposed to deliver, along with commercial know how, and all the while being able to communicate with humans without them running the other way.

What I WILL NOT do:
Throw tantrums if I don't get my own way
Pretend I know the answers to things that I do not
Be a yes-man
Pass the buck.
What I WILL do:
Give you peace of mind your project/client is in safe hands
Know what I am promising and what is possible
Interact with everyone in a calm, friendly and genuine manner
Deliver the results desired, on time and on budget.
